Raman is widely regarded as the Pioneer and fondly referred to as the “Father of the Indian BPO Industry”. Raman is a pioneer four times over, having successfully led the BPO initiatives of American Express, GE (now Genpact) and Spectramind (now Wipro BPO) before incubating Quatrro, which commenced operations in 2007.
He has been Chairman - NASSCOM Executive Committee, Board Member - Invest India and National Skill Development Council, Chairman - ASSOCHAM BPO Committee,
Regional President - Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) NCR and National Executive Member, Board Member - TiE NCR, Co-founder and Board Member - Indian Angels Network (IAN), Co-Founder and Member of IC - IAN Fund and Member - Venture Capital Investment Committee, SIDBI.
He is an active angel investor, with 50+ personal investments and sits on the Board of a few of the investee companies. Raman is also an active Resource Leader at ISHA Insight Program, focused at creating next-gen Business Leaders
Raj is an entrepreneurial executive with wide ranging experience in General Management, Finance, Strategy, Organization Building, Business Transition and Integration, across several conglomerates and start-ups.
He is experienced in negotiating and handling M&A, Private Equity, Joint Ventures and Technical & Marketing tie-ups. Raj is an acknowledged ‘people person’ – passionate about identifying, mentoring and coaching young leaders.
Many of his mentees are now successful business leaders or in senior management positions in different industries and functions; some are entrepreneurs too.
Having handled multiple start-ups and growth stage companies, Raj’s strength lies in harmonizing goals and objectives of different stakeholders - Investors, Management and Employees – and broadening consensus and minimizing divergence.
Raj is a Chartered Accountant (1986) and Cost & Management Accountant (1986) and an award winning CFO (India CFO Awards 2003)
